The controversial cover photo of the Beatles‘ twelfth studio album, which was rumored that Paul McCartney was dead, was clicked by Scottish photographer Iain Macmillan. The photo was taken on the street of the studio where it was recorded in London in 1969, the year of its release by the Apple Records label. Album, studio and street carry the same name: Abbey Road.
